I strayed onto youtube last night and, instead of sleeping, watched the cache of kraftwerk videos and live performances. While some were, in hindsight, incredibly cheesy, others were a revelation! Check out Der Telefon; new respect for the Electric Cafe album which was a bit of a letdown 20 years ago. Also see the end of Showroom Dummies. Kraftwerk dudes are dancing -- and smiling!

grrrr. i'm on a ubuntu machine at work and i can't get audio to work with flash. but i've been you tubing all my favourite bands too. kraftwerk is definitely next on my list.

The first thing I did when I found YouTube was track down "Das Modell" by Kraftwerk...I had to see if the grown-up me could trainspot any of their equipment.

I had this problem with Fedora and flash. Ive got it working (somehow) but now the audio is about .05 sec in front of the video.

Same here, i'm running slackware and audio doesn't work for me either. I think it's a bug in this version of Flash (?), and unfortunately if it is, it won't be fixable until they release version nine. Being the smart people that macromedia are, they have no place to get downgraded versions either.
I'll keep the link in mind though for when my sound in flash eventually works again.
Edit: Just did some sleuthing and typing this at a command line lets sound work with flash:
artsdsp firefox
Like Zanf said though, latency is a bit of an issue still, but it's a step in the right direction.

Hey, me too! I never thought I'd see them in my lifetime. First heard them in 1983. I was only into Stravinsky, Xenakis, and the Kinks back then. My friend Ian said, "hey, listen to this": Man Machine. It was all downhill from there.
