--> it took me about 2 months off and on, but i finally have my studio set up in my new place and it is almost at the point where i can make some music again.

anything that isn't midi is under cv/gate control, which took a long time to loom up. i got sick of expensive shitty cables so i made all my own balanced and unbalanced cables as well as about 40+ patch cables from canare cable and neutrik connectors. all the parts came from the cool dudes at redco audio and i managed to get about 2/3 of the cable before the crazy copper market drove the price of bulk cable up.

the newest and final (i hope) addition is a second modcan b-series cabinet, which has a voltaged controlled sequencer which is pants-wetting crazy. it also has a wave table module which also causes pants-soiling delight.

the midi is set up so that i can can play every synth and drum machine from the roland controller keyboard, which is quite convenient, although i need to get one of those plastic office floor protector things so i can slide around on the chair a little easier to reach different synths. right now the wheels of my chair get a little bogged down in carpet.

the room itself is in the basement. the ceiling is only about 6' 5" and it's right beside the furnace room, which isn't great.

i couldn't get one all-encompassing shot, so i've taken a panorama in 4 photos.

is the crate under the jupiter 8 full of clean underwear considering all the wetting and soiling you do? ;)

Considering your past experiences, is your studio now secure against flooding and break ins? All looking good anyway. How long before the album?

marvellous - i hope the vibe and new workflow help your productivity - did you play a huge unisono note with all the machines yet? :D

I can totally relate to the wetting and soiling, I'd be in danger of that myself.

What a gorgeous studio. I wish I had the money and space to setup something like that. ::sigh:: Someday.

yikes! can i come visit some time?
please?

at your party last week i touched some stuff with my penis

but i won't say what ;)

you can all come and play. except lem and his gentialia.

the crate of clean underpants is under a Jupiter-6. i missed getting a JP-8 when the prices were reasonable.

there are no guarantees that this studio is theft or flood proof. there's a dehumidfier that runs pretty much constantly to keep the damp out, hopefully i won't need it in the winter when the furnance is running, and there's now a monitored alarm system after my laptop got swiped.

fingers crossed...

album's out october 23!

woooooo looks ace

Thats a sweet setup. I'd never get any school work done if I had that sitting in my basement.

Jesus... talk about modular heaven. Don't let Pings get wind of your location, or you could be in for a raid.

(Jaw drops.)

$@#%@#!!!!

Oh, by the way, when you get the office mat, make sure you get the anti-static kind... the other ones cultivate static constantly

drool...

better than pornography.

snaps. that is one intense little basement setup. use it to its fullest.

Incredible setup. Such nice gear laid out in such a cosy way. I'd forget to eat if that was in my house.
