gaaah! i fkin hate this tag search thingie. what a stupid STUPID idea. cant find anythin. i know someone discussed shitmat a few weeks ago, wanted to comment on that now but a query for "shitmat" just resturns complete garbage, post that don't even mention shitmat. how hard can it be to just free text index the dmn site...!?

it's not merely tag search feature's fault. often people would basically put unnessessare and even stupid words in the text field which do not fit the blogs topic. i am totally guilty of doing that. and even you, dynamo, didn't bother to write some tags for this blog. what whould you recommend i do if want to come bag to fkn shitty tag blog? only thing left is to use "store" function, which works pretty well unless the thread/blog gets not deleted.

I just tried searching for something and was thinking the exact same thing - this is fucking useless. The tags the search returned weren't even close to what I had submitted.
Also - 3 out of the 4 posts I've made here dropped the tags I had written when I submitted my post, resulting in tagless posts. Booo.

tylth, i did write tags before posting! promiss! why aren't they shown?
i get angry because i think a search functionality should retreive results without users having to tag stuff. i work with search engines for a major corporation so i know what i'm talking about. tagging is good in some environments but in a forum like this you need free text as well.

tag search systems only begin to be useful when there are TONS of tags, and when readers are able to add tags to things (not just authors). i agree that full text search would be more appropriate for searching through blogs. meanwhile theres google..
