Monotape page:

I run a resolution at 1600x1200 and that text is barely readable, other then that it looks good.

Bookseller page:

I'd love some margins inside the box/Textframe, the white text merges with the background when it gets to close.

Also, as i enter the first page is just a box, and all the other ones the box has a 100% height.
You should also check out some CSS styles for your links as when you have visited them they are barely readable.

Running Firefox 1.5.0.7 on winxp sp2

nice one - the bookseller myspace link didnt work for me.

I think the monotape page is awesome. Not crazy about the bookseller page either though. I have to admit, when folks mention that there is a link on another page and don't include a link to that page (much less just put a copy of the link) I think it works against you.

menu changes from monotape index page to news, etc and then back again on the about page.

on the bookseller site it drops a fair bit on the about page.

bookseller mini-site has 2 warnings with html validator:
line 9: table has tag "height"
line 15: img has no alt atribute

monotape mini-site has about 14. mostly fixable but lazy code [putting css attributes inside tags instead of within style tags at start of page]

on one line on the monotape site you have 3 closing font tags [one after the other] which is bad really.

thanks for the comments. the bookseller page might be reworked in the next few days, i just had to make something quick to get it online. im no graphic designer so neither of them are beautiful. im not too fussed about html validator warnings, i don't see it would make much difference to the functionality (correct me if im wrong though please)

thanks everyone

Standards is a beutiful thing

I like the design of the monotape site.

the A elements in the navigation bar on the monotape site are inconsistent: some of them include a space before the text, the underline of 'projects' stops before the 's'. This kind of thing (little mistakes that break consistency and make stuff look amateurish) happens easily when you mix presentational information in your html file (eg using font tags etc).

If you have the time it's well worth investigating 'semantic markup' and css. alistapart link is a great resource.
