--> does anyone live in CT west of Fairfield? Are there any cool places to play? Clubs / bars / anything? I'm planning a tour for my band and we have a blank space, I want to play somewhere in CT before we go up to Boston.

I used to live around Waterbury a while ago, never going back to that hellhole too.

As for places to play, all I know is the Newtown Teen Center (lol, for anyone who knows it) and the typical places in Hartford and New Haven (The Webster, Toad's Place). It seems like VFW/American Legion Halls are popular there, at least for Hardcore (of the non-electronic varient).

I've never heard of any sort of EM scene, shows, or interest in that area. As far as I know it's a dead zone... unless Ozzfest is around

I grew up there too. It's pretty bland as far as interesting music goes. and as far as a lot of things go, actually. there are some people on the hyperreal idm list that live there and throw shows. I'll try and dig up some names and em-mail them to you.

so pawel, where do the mancats live?

thanks everyone! what about western mass? anyone besides sprouts? theres a few universities there... does anybody attend one?

there's a coffee shop in Northampton, MA., and the people there are pretty cool. a guy who used to work there once booked me a show down the street at the elks lodge or something like that and it was great. call the coffee shops and record stores and be cool. they'll be cool. things'll be cool. check out other artist's past itineraries for ideas, browse for other artists in western mass that sound good to you and contact them, call the radio station when you know there's an electronic show on and get names from them... you can do it tiger!

thanks doofgoblin!

if anyone lives near Hamden, CT we are playing at The Space (www.thespace.tk) on Jan 10, doors at 7
