didn't know if you guys had seen this. I just saw it just now and it has really upset me.
I feel very sad and angry. I really didn't know it was so many people.
I don't really know what to say about this. I guess I just feel like sharing my feelings.
this is just too much destruction, too much evil. I don't know what else to say.

that's to say nothing of the 150K or so who died in gulf war 1 and then the mil and a half who died because of little details like sanctions during clinton, the bombing of infrastructure like water treatment plants, etc.

we'll know it's a valid figure if Bush attacks it as 'unscientifical'.
seriously wtf? are they going to have to show the gulags on abc news for the american people to wake up?
general Casey, the top general in Iraq, told sen. Carl Levins the other day that there is no viable military strategy for controlling the situation in Iraq ...
its reasons like these that i'm not surprised we haven't been nuked yet.

And everyone wonders why the rest of the world thinks the US sucks..... actually probably only the americans wonder. And probably only the red states.

Yeah the war is a great tragedy. But, and by this I don't mean to be harsh really, I just think that you missed the bit where it says "This is an Electronic Music community, please try to keep your blog related to Electronic Music." If people kept out of each others way, or held their opinions to where they should, we probably wouldnt be in this mess in thefirst place..

it's not a matter of opinions. voicing your opinion is, i'm sure, why many people bother living in this schleckfest called the US, its only saving grace.
it's a matter of action, and misrepresentation. so please let monkvolcano represent his feelings here, if they are misrepresented by the people who are supposed to stand for them.
preach on.

hmmm.. i did miss that bit dach. sorry i guess? I've just seen a few other blogs that weren't about EM and no one said nothin. I'll keep that in mind in the future.
I mean this genuinely, I think this is related to EM, or at least mine anyway. This shit effects me, and we are artists aren't we? this will definitely come out in music. I hope it comes out in many people's music..
hell, one of the first things that came to mind when i heard this shit was that it would be great to be involved in some kind of EM show that had an anti-war message.
I used to think that shit was kind of annoying, but really I started thinking "what can i do about this?" and there's not shit I can do except say how I feel.

Why not compose some anti-war music then? It's a deep theme, could provide a lot of inspiration. Some of the flower power era songs were immense, I don't see so much of that spirit these days.

already did..
when i read that article i was all tore up for a minute, and then i had this kind of forboding melody come into my head.. worked on that for a couple of hours i gues..
right now the title that popped into my head for was "things are looming".cause that's what i feel like. maybe someway to throw some anti-war vox in there.. but right now anything that comes to mind sounds cheesy.. we'll see. then people might actually make the connection that it was inspired by the sadness of war.
