--> what would you class as a cool demo response? does anyone ever just say "thats fantastic can we talk about a deal?"

i just had a demo checked out by kranky and they said it sounds okay and do i have anything else i want to send them. is that good. or is that just ok?

i have had some of that from labels asking for more stuff for some older projects of mine, but nothing ever happened. im excited because this is a new thing of mine, and it seems to be going down really well. i really hope this works out. so much. i love kranky.

sorry, im just excited

i always find they hate the new good stuff and like the old shit stuff. which they then release. ha ha.

thats a good response.

ninjatune once said to me
"thanks"

you should be pretty chuffed at kranky asking if you had anymore stuff to send them. been thinking of sending some stuff there way mysel.

dude you got some positive feedback from kranky? holy fuck!
and yeah that sounds like a good responce

come to think of it, I'm tempted to give it a whirl myself

good if they want more definitely! well done!

that is awesome. i'd be flying high for a week on that one. congrats!

the problem is when you don't have any more stuff to send them. panic mode!

i used to get responses like that back in the day when i wrote screenplays. i was like, "uhh, yeah i sent you the mediocre script. i've got all the good ones i thought you'd like back in the filing cabinet. i'll send them right over." durrr.

HAHAHAHA. ORAC once said "we got your CD, what did you want us to do with it??"

Anytime a label ASKS for material, thats good. So don't play coy and just brag away, d00d.
yes, OK fine you are frickin' sweet, we all see that, quit rubbing our noses in it OK???!!!

do you have the first tracks you sent them online for us to hear?
um yeah

my space

we are all jellus.

That's great news, very positive, as long as you held some tracks back for the follow-up, which is difficult, I know.

that's a magnificent response. sheesh.

Don't want to cold you but my only experience of this kind was sending a tune to hobby industries and the guy (Opiate) was like 'ok, send me a proper demo. So i did, and it was like 'cool stuff, I'd like to hear a full album proposal'. So after something like 2 month i sent the album and he rejected it...
but the album wasn't a great one, i know this, so no delusion or sadness in this story. Just sucks a bit. It will be out in the mp3 catalogue of Nexsound in November, that is cool in a way but not yet what i'm looking for.
Anyway, the response you've got is still good if you think you can easily make some more like the one they heard (this is not so obvious everytime, you know..). Go on!!!

holy crap, that's great r4p!!
my advice, if kranky asks, you give them your first born.

sounds good to me.
