SF Homebrew Mobile Phone Club
Meeting NFO
The meetings are very technical, but also great fun, and no BS. I guess some gurus from Flickr will be speaking at this one, and also some dialog on an Open Source Hardware Mobile phone initiative.
The last meeting had speakers from SUN covering the new Open SPARC platform (avaliable Verilog sources), as well as a killer DIY PLD software radio development kit set (not SUN related).
If you are interested in homebrew computer engineering, wireless technology and electronics, dealing with recent technology (2k+), this is a great place to hang out with some great people (industry professionals) in a chill environment (free pizza). | |
