--> so, here is my new webpage on the internets. it's what i've been up to for the last several months. i don't have too much on it yet, but damn it was hard work getting the stuff that is on there finished. i expect content to be doubled by this spring, got a lot going on now.

anyways, i have some illustrations, music, photos, etc. for your viewing/listening pleasure.

laterzzzz.

edit - oh, btw, please remember to scroll to the right when viewing illustrations and photos. some people at work i was showing the site to missed that and thought there were only 2 illustrations. doh! maybe side-scrolling was not such a good idea? i like that style though dernit. how many of you would've missed the scrolling?

edit, again - i've made some changes to the layout and navigation. no more sidescrolling. the usability issues wouldn't stop nagging me. came up with a better system i think.

goddamn thats a nice looking site. i love simplicity and functionality. your illustrations are ace. very nice style.

nice photographs!

your photos are pretty creepy!
what techniques do you use on the Illustrations?

nice fotoos indeed.

awesome illustrations are those digital only or did you paint em and scan em etc....?

I like the illustrations too - very nice textures. Out of interest, how much for the prints?

thanks everybody!

creepy photos? really? ha. i guess they do have a touch of southern gothic.

illustration-wise i use some photos, some vector work, and mix and mush everything up in illustrator and photoshop. i usually pass things back and forth between the two programs a lot. i like the drawing tools in illustrator but i like the painting tools in photoshop, and obviously the photo manipulation in photoshop, and blend modes.

jdg, what are you doing in here? you should be resting and drinking plenty of fluids, or something.

lovely site and illustrations.
vveerrgg - thank you very much. i'm going to be doing some more real world materials on a new series, but these are mostly digital.

ochre - thanks very much. hmm, prints are in the works actually. i'm doing some test prints right now, trying to get colors just right, etc. then i've got to add up all the costs of framing, labor, etc. so might be a couple months before i have an answer. i prolly should just put up on the site some wording to the effect of "check back in a couple months for prints". but i also wanted to guage demand first, ya dig?

Photos are very cool...I'll take a look at the rest of it when I have the chance.

I need to get my butt moving on my own website.

thanks p.

roshi, thanks man. i hear ya. it's a lot of damn work (making websites)!

very sweet. the site looks great. i didn't realize you were an illustrator, and i really like your style.

i got the side scrolling immediately, but a lot of people miss it, because it's not something they're used to looking for. it's unconventional, i guess. i don't mind it though.

Very nice site indeed. You're a very talented guy.

thank you very much airliner. i admire your design work so that's nice to hear coming from you. i've messed around with illustration in the past. got a bunch of old kinda meh work. but i got the bug this past year and i kinda focused in on it over the last several months.

i think i've gone through about 5 different versions of that site. just when i think i have one i like i scrap it and start over all of a sudden. for some reason the side scrolling thing stuck. of course, i'm always on the lookout for a better way of navigating and "information architecture" so i may change it up before too long.

thanks philly, i appreciate that.
