i saw a guy at guitar center being sold an oasys. the clerk said "i totally sit down at this and find new sounds all the time. they use it for scoring movies." and the guy responded "oh i'll just be using it to screw around." a nice 8,000$ synth to piss around on.

apparently its the sub-oscillator that gives the 8-bit lo-fi quality to the sh101. Either that, or the resonance on the bandwidth filter.
