12. That's when I got my first music software.
I played soccer. I wore yellow pants, and obnoxious Nike shoes with rubber webbing. I got straight A's. My social anxiety began it's slow recession. I listened to the Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Prodigy, and the Beastie Boys. I had a best friend. He was a pathological lier, he manipulated me like a ball of clay. We made music together. I was better than him at it.
Now we talk about the nature of reality and he gives me drugs.
He's jealous of my creative talents. I'm jealous of his social and physical talents.
Something my father did that I'd recommend to all fathers: foster creative outlets and intellectual thought.
Don't force, just bring up the topics in discussion. Provide money when needed, make her aware of what's out there.
Where would I be if I hadn't chanced upon electronic music? I don't even want to think about it.
My life as a thinking individual began when my father told me that the light you see from stars is really millions, if not billions of years old. Then the size of space began to boggle my mind.
I never stopped boggling my mind and I have a father to thank for that.
