Why not put the ultimate in audio reproduction technology on your last-minute gift idea list this year? Perfect for the audiophile in your family or circle of friends!

"The purpose of the Swedish Statement project is to put Swedish hi-fi on the world map. The Swedish Statement system will contain the Bladelius Beowulf amplifiers ($37,500), Bladelius Gondul version 3 multiplayer ($14,000), Jorma Design Jorma Statement cables ($71,800), Marten Coltrane Supreme loudspeakers ($250,000), Nordic Concept's Artist Signature turntable ($18,000) and WOO Design furniture ($11,000) for a grand total of a staggering $402,300."

Yes, that's right. $71.8k just for the cables. Which is just about 4x the cost of the turntable. A cool quarter of a million for the loudspeakers.

And the target market for this will probably only ever listen to Hell Freezes Over by the Eagles, Dark Side of the Moon, and some original pressing Steely Dan albums.

theres this guy up here building a new mastering studio.. his audiophool electrical panel cost 40k! wtf.
power cables that cost more then a car.
wt f?!

have worked with cables for over 8000 as well (not mine). room panels: over 200000. and the difference is bloody small. I love laptops and small nearfields... it's all in your head and not about your tools at all. if something doesn't sound right you should blaim yourself, not the tools

greed and sickening excess. i just threw up a little. like a vomit burp.

these things might be blingy, but the value they add to a business isn't so much in it's real quality, but the fact that it can impress certain clients. that alone makes $8000 cables worth the investment for some. They make it back the 1st time a client chooses them over another who uses $5000 cables.

i for one roll with rca's.

These sound systems are in every Swedish home. They call them Volk-HiFi here. You should see them together with the nude HiFi-geek girls we have. And the polar bears. Go Sweden!
