--> The loss of James Brown is one that will be felt around the world.
What better way to send him off than to make some seriously groovy, funky music in his honor?

Here's what I propose:
Download this small sample pack of JB breaks and join me in remixing, chopping, or covering his music as a tribute to The Godfather of Funk.

If we get enough tributes together, I'll pack some cover art and we'll give this a proper internet release. How does that sound? A dope and slightly-less-than-legal send off for a dope and less-than-legal man!

RIP
James Brown
1933-2006

EDIT----
Shall we shoot for the end of January as a deadline? Also I don't mean to suggest that only breaks are allowed, anything goes. Hope you'll join us!

I'm starting mine tomorrow as an excuse to not have to deal with the fam.

i think i might do a straight cover version of something. as opposed to a remix. im no good at remixes.

lovely idea
im still

thanks dude, ill get some stuff going.

yeah, i'm down on vacation. so we just goota use the sample pack, eh?

You can feel free to use whatever samples, synths, etc you'd like...I just thought I'd throw some breaks out there for folks who needed em.

The Flying Lizards did a really cool remake of Get Up (Sex Machine)....
now, if only I could find a link to a sample online.. I know I have it on cassette somewhere...

Oooh! Found it.
link

nice, thanks.

will get on this tomorrow.

I'll have a go at it, but I might not be able to for a week or two...
