Prophet Noise, Jellyfish & Bubbles, and myself are playing out this Friday at Pi-Rem (www.pi-rem.com) in PDX starting at 9:00. Each of us are coming from different ways of performing live PA gigs.
I am honestly the least familiar with Prophet Noise, but he'll be playing more of a dance set like the tracks on his myspace page.
Jellyfish & Bubbles are a duo that have a bunch of gear and do an amazing job of mashing beats, samples, and turntablism in a free form, no 2 sets alike manner.
This is my first show using my new setup of Ableton Live and live instruments. I'll be bringing my didgeridoo, guitar, and sitar to interweave with my tracks.
I haven't been able to check out Pi-Rem yet, but I've heard great things about it. Huge import beer and wine menu as well as local microbrews. There's no cover, so come out and make a night out of it.
