--> I'm still really struggling to get into this new format. There seems to be so many features which are preventing me from getting involved.

With the friends system and emphasis more on blogs it makes it seem less like a community and more like a collection of cliques. I miss how new releases used to be a big deal. BTW This isn't me bitching in any way. Change is nearly always good, it's just that I missed the changeover so I amn't really up to speed on how things are working. I'm still struggling to comprehend the changes. Any tips?

i sort of feel the same way, but i think it's just a metter of mastering tags and using those more.

Tags are important. It's easier to listen to music. No more avatar wars. Free blogging. These are good things, in my view.

The friends system; meh. I like that I can keep quick links to people, but I don't care about the 'such-and-such wants to be your friend' aspect.

i will miss avitar wars. maybe now blogitar wars.

someone needs a friend :|

yes. its weird.. like going toa mongolian BBQ for the first time.

i'm still adjusting for sure.. tags?? uh huh.

i find myself just going to the forum section and looking around and watching suckapunch videos...

there should be a running "sticky" post for tags that get a lot of play.
I'm not sure how many tracks are tagged "drone" right now, but I might be in that mood someday?
Whatever, I have no idea how to make things work yet.
I'm going to abuse the "Twin Peaks" tag to death.
By the way: 3 completely unrelated blogs come up with that tag and that is bullshit.
I think it makes tags completely useless if they're not appropriate.

I find the new site a bit exhausting, to be honest with you. I probably won't be coming around as much. It does feel more anonymous now, which to me is not a good thing. But perhaps I'll get used to it.

i've been hopelessly addicted.

I think the loss of avatars has something to do with this.

I don't care for the new site very much. I was also a bit pissed that all my private messages were deleted during the switch. I had information in some of those that I needed.

And the ads--forget about it. The good news is that it may finally cure my em411 addiction.

i miss the emphasis on new releases as well
and I, also, need friends. <tear>

exhausting is the perfect word for me too
its like a mobile phone with too many bells and whistles

also, the friends system...
I like a good few people here, for their sly sense of humor, friendly helpful advice and just being allround nice.
But to send friend requests seems...? I feel strange doing that kind of thing

the focus on blogs is definitely too much for me to be able to keep up with. they use up two of three columns on the frontpage, releases maybe a small column a fifth of the size of the rest. now, I wouldn't mind if releases reverted back to the way they were 2 years ago, one larger column on the righthand size of the page. right now it's not self-explanatory that there are releases you can listen to on the page period.

the "friends" system is moot for anyone using this site extensively I think, it's probably ok for casual visitors who come here to follow specific peoples' blogs. mmh. I didn't think about it much really, I just found that I just don't stay on the site for very long anymore, mmh. the way the auto-play works is too "in your face" atm as well.

I like it better. as I pointed out elsewhere, it seems more like a community now. To me anyway.
