--> The awesome people at monome have created a virtual version of the 40h to play with prior to buying the unit or to be able to work on patches when you don't have the hardware with you. It's in the download section as part of the "base package". of course you miss the fun that the actual "playing" with as many buttons as you like is, but it shows you how those patches in the demo videos etc work.. and they also have a picture of the casing of their 256 button 100h protoype up now..

wtf.
100 buttons.
who is able to remember that quantity when playing live.

256!!

ouch.

its no so hard, the way i am setting up my mapd map for use with live 6 for my upcoming show i have 4 pages of 60 buttons, so thats 240 total. there are some constants from page to page though (like the bottom row is my track mutes)

i would assume you just come up with a way of breaking it into smaller sections.

woah. this stuff is crazy.
thanks for the link.

Gah, that thing gives me nightmares of pipetting clear liquids into, then out of, these things all day:

Pipette boy.

Sorry, that was mean.

You can call me "database boy" and "data analysis boy" to get me back if you like.
i'll call you micropipette boy

Ouch.

and

Zing!

Can you crossbreed a Monome with Battleship? 'cuz triggering loops by placing little red and white pegs into a board would be super-sweeet.

..somewhat surprised to see that the 40h is slated for discontinue in the near future..buy now or forever hate ebay prices. At $500 new, the post available will be what..$1000? ick.

ok...I did it...I got a monome...I'll need to talk to you filarion to help me setup a live setup...I'm sooo freakin' excited!

congratulations zfigz, it really is awesome. i am strongly tempted on a daily basis to go ahead and pick up a 2nd one before they run out.
