--> I've been teaching myself moves in the livingroom the past few evenings and I bloody quite enjoy it!

It's fun learning something new and working up a sweat when it's cold and wet outside. I usually go out and do stunts on a BMX but it's been too wet for the past month and I've been busy on the music machines. Anyone else in on the hack/footbag game?

yeah, I play it, used to be really good. Lots of tricks to be had, my famous style was all hits behind my back and 360s when i was really good. I would pass the sack only when I was facing 180 degrees away from someone over my back.

Soccer is a good primer for such things.

i cannot condone the word soccer. it is football. it was invented first, we made the name, we keep the name.

xxx

sorry. football. You are so right, that was bad of me

Phew! Thanks Race! Almost had to delete the blog then.

I was huge into hacky sack for sometime in high school . . . I find it one of the most compassionate/cooperative competitive sports out there.

It's quite fun to get a few more people playing so when you screw up the action never stops...and most importantly, never serve to thyself.

Enjoy!

It aint compassionate when I play. I've seen my opponents taken away in an ambulance.

Wha?! How'd they get taken away in an ambulance? Did someone get offended because they were hoggin' the sack and a fight broke out or ?

One day, when I was about 12, my father beckoned me to his room and said something akin to, "son, it's time for you to learn about hacky sack".
Or maybe: taking a sack from his top drawer, "son, do you know what this is?"

He showed me the basic idea... we couldn't keep it in the air for more than a few seconds.
I bought myself a sack and began hacking it up with my best friend. We counted our success, moving from a high of 5, to 10, to 20, and then to the point at which it didn't matter.
As we began doing this outside of school, others became interested.
Soon, on any given day, you'd see 2 or 3 hack circles outside before and after school.

I can proudly say that I started my high-school's hacky sack fad.

The last time I played was 4 months ago or so. I love it.

EDIT: pride... *flagellates self*
i love it, but for some reason, people seem to make fun of me a lot when i try and get them to play. I think its because they associate it with hippies, and they know i hate hippies.

My favorite player was this guy who used brazilian martial arts in his style. He would virtually breakdance while playing. so neat. So em411 hack circle anyone?

aside: once again, sorry for the stupid soccer comment. I should have known. Anyone who was offended can punch me once I get to playing shows overseas. (I might punch back...)

I've been trying to find the Tim and Eric "Awesome Show, Great Job" hackysack promo. That was some funniness. Do you know what I'm talking about?

Nagrom, it's really great that your dad took you aside to show you his sack, that must be a great memory.

Squeal, I've got no idea what you're on about.

Good to hear from my fellow hacky sackers around the world!

oh. i read heary sack...
bummer

i want to play heary sack.

footbags are sweet. I wanna do this again, i gotta dig through my drawers and find mine.
