--> once upon a time, there was a thread where somebody (otterfan i think) linked some really kick ass site that was a free online course about electronic circuits. i believe that thread has seised to exist.

anybody no wtf i'm talking about?

i'm blogging this so it won't disappear (i think)..

i'm trying to start learnign about this shit, might actually take some courses at a tech school er somehting.

thanks.. those look great, however not the specific one i'm looking for.

i realize that the title of my blog is somewhat ambiguous.. arg.

i want something specifically about electrical circuits and how they work.. the one i'm thinking of starts very basic, and even introduces some of the history of it all..

That's the one I use. Definitely get a free SPICE system (like LTSPICE) to run the simulations if you want to get the most out of it.

If you're doing electronics for synthesis the Aaron Lanterman lectures (astroid's first link) are the absolute shit. If I was less lazy I'd ask for permission to transcribe them. They do assume basic electronics knowledge though.

The Radio Shack Electronics Learning Lab is a good practical kit for learning this stuff. It's got two great big books by Forrest Mims full of circuits and a good collection of parts. You can usually find them much cheaper on eBay.
