--> so, i am not a fan of lots and lots of trance. but i feel psy trance really does have a purpose. untill friday, i hadn't done any drugs in over a year. now im single, and feeling like partying more than i used to. so friday, i had some mdma and it pretty much didn't do anything, i was sitting in a jamming room with some guys just messing about with guitars. it was ok. a few too many hippies really but they all seemed like nice people,

but last night, i went to a psy trance rave at my local art college and took some pills. i used to go to raves a bit when i was younger, but this one i really enjoyed. the music was absolutely perfect. to be fair, i was pretty mashed, but i can appreciate psy trance for what it is. i wouldnt listen to it sober, but i cant imagine a better music for that state of mind, so i will forever, and hereafter, stop condemning psytrance. i got home and was still fucked so put on some venetian snares, some analords, some sqaurepusher, i even tried juan maclean, gramme, and some very general dance music. none of it seemed to get me going like the psy trance.

discuss.

haha i think they were called twirleys, but i dont think its important

i know what you mean - one time i took some MDMA and listened to the presets on my MC303 for 8 hours straight.

j/k

i love them old drexciya electro on mdma. and acidwolf and lazyfish.

yeah i dont have any drexciya in hard format, only stupid mp3s. i wanted some monolake as well.

i would just figure the other em didnt work as well because you were comin down ... i always have horrid waves of highs and lows on the way down .. so it might have just seemed less effective when really . it would have been just great when you were really f*cked up

just a theory :P

its for what its for. its a weird brand of music. still say there's stuff to learn from it, but i'm mostly reading sheet music on jazz / blues these days.
i wonder if psy-trance will sprout weird demone-babies and become totally random genre explosion or not. its sitting in a solid place as-is.
lol trance blogs on em411. who would'a thunk it.

I really enjoy psytrance... sober too.
1200 Micrograms

I like straight techno, sober and high. never done E (or X depending on the continent you live on) before. kinda want to.

I'M THE ONE AND ONLY DOMINATOR.
Great! Who cares?

brilliant idea btw to talk about drug-use on the internets...
there are quite a few companies reading the internets when you apply for a job, seeing what kind of person you are online

that's why blog posts are deleted every 30 days... so every time i get kicked out of my job, i get a fresh new virtual identity.

haha yeah but im cool, not applying for a job for at least 2 years, and, when i do it won't be under race4prize. hopefully. unless em411 totally consumes my soul

xx

listen im not going to one more post on here about bastarding psy trance. this is techno with any soul, originality and adventure removed. it's elevator music for drugged up crusties dunces. its a music that has stood still since the 90s (i was a trance kid about 96/97)and much as i think that there are some fantastic records surfacing at the minute with trance references (such as the knife, the apparat ellen allien record, the field and other guys on kompakt/bpitch) so i suppose there is some interesting trance related subcultures (google 'nanotrance' for the latest ridiculous discogs genre) butr i dont see how anyone who loves forward thinking, envelope pushing music can listen to this drivel. any drug experiences ive had to his crud have been dreadful, it completely sends me under into a cave of boredom.

it's quite easy to find out who you are race4prize. they search for your name -> find out you run that netlabel -> search deeper on that netlabel -> find out about em411 -> learn about your drug usage -> great job opportunity -> there you go.

and the internet never forgets anything. (at least most of the time)

do people really go that far into things? if so pawel has no chance.
