ok, this is a reminder to anyone interested that there exists a chat for emmers on efnet irc in #em411.... if u need help getting onto irc, please post ur operating system and we will help u... there's not too many ppl right in there now, and if u wanna be part of the em411.com scene, just stick around in there and look cool, eventaully you'll have urself a wonderful conversation (i swear, it happens all the time)

also, i wanted to link to this blog by roshi: link

it basically states that there's a lot of necrosis around here, what with the trolling, and lack of substance. i tend to agree, but know that the "lack of substance" is rather subjective. of course, it speaks some truth, what with this blog section and so forth. really, i think, it's just cause there's no real oversight around here (or in lieu of oversight, a maintainers community would be nice) - of course, that's my opinion... what's yours?

you don't look a gift horse in the penis sheath...

srssly tho.. i like most of the goofing/wanking off. the amount of interesting stuff about electronic music relaed stuff fluctuates, but if you start an intelligent conversation, it will probably thrive a bit.

we are talking about hampsters yo.

Yeah, I can't tell the difference between blogs and forum. Except the blogs get a picture and votes and stuff, and generally seem more prominent.

I think most people will indulge in a bit of misplaced (?) off-topic, but probably would, on the inside, like a more strict electronic music site. :-)

my point is there needs to be room for growth and change on this site, methinks. it doesn't need to be huge, only facilities for said growth and change, and then let those actions occur naturally and organically... do u follow? ;)

so what you are saying is that we need bigger hampsters?

but really, we just want to have a community where we can go to be real and not worry about people talking about the finer points of one thing or another to death until the site looses all individual character. I am glad for the humor and the off beat topics and if it wasnt firmly in place, I would leave.

Life is too rich to be concentrating specifically on one topic.

one thing i think would be a good idea, should the creator reason.. or send his only begotten son in his sted or some such stuff.. would be blogs to be grouped in to OT and not OT..

OT and not OT that is the question..
whether tis nobler in the mind to enudre the slings and arrows of outrageous fart jokes,
or take up synths against a sea of meatspin
and by opposing, end tehm..

no i agree totally, else i wouldn't be able to talk about the site itself, or the community itself (metasite, metacommunity).... i like talking about hampsters, drugs, sex, rock n roll, (especially hampsters, and yes monk that is what im saying), i like talking about homosexuality, and i like talking about all sorts of great stuff, i love this site, and everyone who is part of its composition....

what i dont like, honestly is A) the missing java irc chat client (heheeheheh) and B) the stagnant feel of its framework.
Get on the motherfucking IRC monk.

HAMPSTERS!

oh yeah homosexuality is great, i'm going to give it a try after i've thoroughly worn out datathinner's mom (although, by any sane person's definition, she is already worn out to a hideous extent).

.

my only wish is that more people made and released good music here!!!!

yeah keyword here is: good.

lol.... how about ppl feel free and are encouraged to express themselves in a true mannor without the worries of connotations surrounding the word "good"... LORD KNOWS artsigreg's idea of good is far removed from most ppl's

jk btw
