--> It seems that all i ever talk about is my hunt for a tap tempo midi clock generator, so I can sync my electronic doodling with the rest of the band, change rhythm with ease and all that jazz.

I found this software called InTime which looks really good, but really I don’t need anything so advanced (would be nice though)
i have found plenty free vsts and standalone tap tempo soft devices but none generate a midi clock i can sync stuff to.

I’m looking at getting a midi foot controller (Behringer FCB1010 MIDI Foot Controller) which apparently can be used in tap tempo situations. don’t think it sends clock info its self though.

this is becoming a pain in the ass. I’m sure there is a bunch of EMers doing this kinda stuff. How are you doing it?
I feel I’m close to an answers,,,,, just not close enough.

any help would be much appreciated. Until them i will continue my constant googeling and when i find the solution I will post it.

i also want a tap tempo device that sends out midi clock
id like it to be a stand alone hardware unit that only does that
i want to be able to send audio pulses in and get midi clock out
not for playing in a band but for doing weird self generating stuff

OOOPs :|

yeh well maybe someone has the solution, cant be that hard. im mean i found bits and pieces that do half the job just no cheap simple solution. the hunt continues

Wee! Breakage ensues!

I would look at the second hand shops for an OLD sequencer. You should find them very cheep (I paid under $20 for a Yamaha QX20)

a friend pointed me at this. any one used one? im guessing not. looks pretty cool.

i dont know what it costs and it looks like the MIDI lead is attached which is anoying, also it seem to just run off bats which is also less handy.

any one know if with the updated firmware the Behringer FCB1010 MIDI Foot Controller's tap tempo function works the same?

getting closer. oh and i have the same friend of mine looking into a soft version

it says it can be powered through the midi cable
it looks cool but i wish it had an audio pulse in as well as a pedal

why, what a nice spout.

Is there a midi mixer / slider box thing that has a tap tempo pad?
Cycloptic (visuals) used one i think...
could you not use a drumpad somehow?
