previously i'd been using chatzilla, as most windows users here are doing, to get onto irc and #em411 (efnet). for linux, i use xchat, which is totally rok awesome (that's my phrase-of-the-day btw), but noticed for some perverse reason it wasn't free software on windows (though a version of xchat was available on windows as shareware).
WELL, turns out someone has a fork of xchat for windows here: http://www.silverex.org/news/ which is a total free version, no restrictions. W00T!!
if u spend any amount of time on irc, and want a GOOD free irc client for windows, then get this. (there's an xchat for mac os x, post a reply if you've any experience with it, eh?!)
ps: it uses the gtk libs, just like gimp and gaim |
