born outside boston to parents of scottish descent. moved 13 times before 8th grade, including time spent in saudi arabia.
"the plastic cow goes mooooooog" when i was three and stevie wonder on sesame street when i was four informed my early musical world. tried piano lessons for two weeks, attempted guitar for a couple of years but the teachers sucked, so i moved on to drums in grade 5 and they stuck, but synths were always the shizzle.
started working in studios just after high school along with other jobs. tried college at bard for a couple years, but i was restless and bored so i split and went back to the studios. got my first mac in '93 and started investigating graphics apps; worked full-time for a web design firm in late 90's 'til they went bust in the crash of '01 then returned to the recording scene with a vengence.
i'm 6'2" and not as svelte as i used to be; once upon a time i was a bike racing machine. i've been married for nearly two years, no drugs (i'm a control freak), dark beer, single-malt or good wine are lovely, but not to excess.
oh, and i hate having my picture taken, so usually people in the studio take a shot and i oblige by presenting my best face... | |

this nice guy, chad, who was over yesterday, head to toe tattoo'd
he said he used to date a tatoo artist.. and he actually hates tattoos.
that said, i always wanted one.. just now that im almost as old as frn, i may be past the prime age of getting one.

hellz no! my dad got his first one when he was 52. think of it as "art collecting"....
it's just a little harder to take down off the wall and sell if you get tired of it.
