--> someone just gave me a korg electribe ea-1 (mk1)- nice one! cheers mate!
its got a dicky master volume knob but im not too worried- ill get someone to solder it
ive downloaded the manual and had a quick read- seems quite capable
i was surprised to find that its not velocity sensetive but ill probably only use it by itself anyway (not triggering it by midi)
i wonder if i could synthesise drum sounds- id like to try to do a whole live set with only this
anyone have any experience of these? whats it like for live performing? (pattern switching etc)

BASTARD!!!!
how the fuck do you keep getting all this stuff for freee???????
i want some free shit

wicked. but hell yeah. why do you get stuff for free?

Nice, I just bought one but it needs some work. They sound great though. I think it is possible to make drum sounds on it.

i get free joy in my life... hmmmm joyyyyy!!! la la la la la dee da.

it was from a friend of my dad- he didnt want it anymore and its a bit broken and he knows im into this stuff
i want to do an electribe versus battle kind of thing

U should get yourself the ER1, its tailor made for the drums. should be dirt cheap, i got mine from a semi truck driver. lol

I don't get free music stuff

Nice score

I've got the sampler/sequencer Electribe. It's ok, but a bit clumsy. Not a patch on the good ol' Akais.
Recent blogs: Hi...
if i got an er1 id try to do the synth sounds on that and the drums on the ea1 (cos i am a fool)
but id have to pay for it so im not getting one

i often have similar thoughts about gear.

Congrats on the free synth!

I got a Realistic Concertmate MG1 for free a few months back. I debated selling it off, but now it looks like I may use it for an upcoming project.

Pattern switching is a piece of cake. seamless as it should be. You can even set up macros if you want to easily swtich from A12 to C43 without having to scroll all the way over to C43 in a limited amount of time.

The EA-1, unlike the ER-1, doesn't have the 1-shot downramp ADSR envelope I don't think.... which is ever so useful for drum sounds.

PS, learn to love the audio (gate) input. Its rad.

i thought this was going to be about some great torrent site, lol.

hardware is even better, cheers.

i have discovered a distaste for knobs
i want to set precise values and be sure ive tried every number
down with knobs!
up with increment!
up ...errrr ...down ... with decrement!
..decrement.... euurghh..... smelly
decrement is my new favourite word

using EA-1 while playing a pattern and setting it up as a slave to incoming MIDI data is the only fun thing to do with that device. And it is pretty fun. You'll get unexpected results.
