--> Ahoyhoy. I have been coming to this site for too long now and I doubt anyone knows much about me, so if your interested, here is my life story condensed into a few words;

I was born in Gera, former East Germany in 1978. I didn't get to experience a lot of the communist era there though, my parents emigrated to West Germany in 1979 and kindly took me with them. During my childhood I moved around a lot in Germany, my father was still studying at the time and so I switched schools quite often, coming to a rest in northern Bavaria for a while, where I also finished highschool. After that my parents and me moved to somewhere on the Niagara Peninsula in Ontario, Canada, where I lived from 98 to 00, studying film, sociology and communication for a couple semesters. Moved back to Germany in 2000 for family reasons, still have a desire to go back to Canada eventually though.

Anyway, back in Germany I had to do a year of alternative civilian service at a nursing home (you get the choice between 8 months military or 10 months civilian service in germany), then started studying Media Art/Design at Bauhaus-University Weimar in late 2001 - from where I graduated with the STFU documentary as main piece this april. Currently on a worldwide job-hunt of sorts. Hopefully will have something by fall. have freelanced for small advertising outfits, doing sound design for film and recently also started editing promo-(video)spots for stores and stuff like that. also regularily recording, producing and remixing my crazy singer-songwriter friends.

not much to report relationship-wise, been out of a permanent relationship for almost 3 years now, high time to change that. once I get off the habit of smoking too much chronic (classical case here).

I drive a Volkswagen Vento (read: Jetta) and can hopefully keep the car, a job would help with that though. I'm living with a cool flatmate in a 100squaremeter flat in a beautiful, quiet and green part of Weimar. Of course, the downside is that the house doesn't have a lot of modern amenities (except wifi), we only have hot water in the kitchen right now for instance. but if you can overlook these things we have an amazing place. oh. did I mention there's no rent involved because the owner of the house is an old hippie who lets students live there for free? we pay our utilities and that's it.

what!?! free rent and you want to move?!

room for one more? ;)

free rent but hardly any jobs in weimar, because there's a neverending supply of interns who'll do anything for free.

but yes, room for one more in theory. that'd mean sacrificing our gaming/smoking/yoga/bike storage room but we could handle that after a withdrawal phase ;)

no rent blows my mind

your appartment rocks! and in a gorgeous place.
weimar rocks too...i want to come visit again

i never knew you moved to canada!

say hello to constantine.

its always a rent / job pay off. London rent is nuts but the likly hood of having a decent job is higher. Carlisle where i studied and where rent like £100 a week for a four bedroom house has no jobs i want... pay off.

i wouldnt mind a free rent year though to do music, art, self development, all that jazz. not just yet though.

no rent but no flushing toilet either
actually your place was cool- except for all the stairs i had to lug my equipment up

oh! you didn't let Eddie use the toilet before you did you?

old hippy landlords are teh bomb.

just pay utilities... nice deal that one....
