--> I've written a cowbell-adding VST plugin. I'm an idiot.

You can get it here: link but be warned, I haven't tried it out _that_ much.

It turns stereo tracks into mono and does not extrapolate its 44.1khz sample for higher samplerates and sounds pretty crappy etc.

But it does add cowbell along the peaks of a track.

LOL

haha

amazing

it needs it's own site and kvr entry

Should I run my master audio track though More Cowbell before or after dithering?

mlbot: doesn't matter. As long as it's there!

DAMN..think of the sidechinning implications!!!!!

If there's any latency in peak detection vs cowbell addidion, I'd love to run a track through morecowbell, and then back in again, and again, and again, and again, and again, until it was nothing but cowbell bleed. Kinda like that "I am sitting in a room" piece, only instead of room ambience, its cowbell.

holy crap, brilliant!

maybe an option for sync to tempo that adds it to the down or upbeats?
the peak detection is extremely rudimentary. A simple LPF -> peak trigger that just restarts after the cowbell has been added.

jonbro: no options, just cowbell.

mlbot: the peak detection is pretty fast, but if there's overlap it won't be able to keep up.

this is a perfect mastering plugin

i did a google/em411 search for more cowbell and got Astroid's release link
but when i did a regular em411 search I got this blog link

LOL

brilliant... is there a chance you could do an analogue modular unit as well... what would it cost to build something like that?

*joking of course*

oh man so rad

that deserves its own myspace page..
