--> Greetings em411'ers.

I have a couple of performances coming up.
1st off... Rob Hall (SKAM DJ) was supposed to play at Holocene on Feb 25th. Well, he canceled his US tour this week!!! So, that means I'm playing a live set at Holocene on Feb 25th. Plus, Ben Milstein and Yard (Toast & Jam, Narita, Skam) and Derek Fisher & the Perfect Cyn are playing as well! It's a dope lineup still and I'm going to put on my best Rob Hall impression. So, if you feel the need for some dark electro on Sunday, Holocene is the place to be!

Ramp, SexyRobotMusic, and Holocene are delighted to present:

Sunday Feb 25, 2007...
YARD [SKAM, NARITA] CHI
BEN MILSTEIN [Touchn' Bass, E.L.M.] PDX
Derek Fisher & the Perfect Cyn [Sexy Robot Music] PDX
Seņor Frio [Narita, Digital Distortions] PDX

@ Holocene
1001 SE Morrison St PDX, OR
21+
Cost: $4
9PM onward....

Plus... HIGHDROPOD, SCIFISOL and ME is playing at the Someday Lounge this Friday!! w00t! This is going to be a weird show cos we're playing with some circus dancers, Sissyboy and FREE DEATH!!

The activities start at 8PM and it's $5. You gotta go to see SciFiSol who ripped it up in Seattle, opening for Kate Simko. Highdropod is going to bring his crazy-intense sounds design and beat-your-face production to one of the better systems in PDX! Plus, I think I'll go experimental style and do mainly gear for this one.
8PM -- $5 -- Cirque Du Solazy
Someday Lounge
125 NW 5th Avenue
Portland, OR 97209

and... now to my story of wost show ever!
San Francisco at RX!!!
First of all, I didn't know how sketchy the tenderloin district of SF is... but now I know. So, m50, Me, SciFiSol, Dave Siska and Joe Moody are booked to play Rx Gallery. Mathew Dear is booked the same night. Incidentally, he was on our flight from PDX to SFO. We could've gone Tonya Harding style and knocked his knees out, but we're professionals here. He's actually a pretty nice guy. Plus, Kontrol was putting on a show the same night. So, we get to Tenderloin. As I walk over hobos, we proceed to get chicken bones thrown at us from across the street. Normally, I would take this as a good sign, but it was an omen of things to come. There was nobody at the bar and the promoter who booked us was promoting the Mathew Dear show as well! I had to run the door and 10 people showed up! The closed the bar on us at 12, so I didn't get to play! But, on the plus-side, I got the new Silicon Scally records which is DOPE!

Anyway, thars me rant!

I should've watched more chapelle. Damn.

my wife used to live in the tenderloin.. she was often mistaken for a hooker..
how do u think we met?

also, u rock live (ignatius made me check u out at dBfest)

Parts of the tenderloin could definitely have been sets in escape from NY.

Sketch-y.

I'll bring chicken bones on SUnday, then.

Sounds like some sort of evil curse.

I CURSE YOU WITH THESE BONES.... OF EVIL! EVIL CHICKENS! AHAHAHAHAHA!

BRING IT! But, please leave chicken on the bones.

Man... Rob Hall canceled his tour WTF, I was going to see him on Thurs.

Good luck.

Logo, are you in DC?
I mean Boston

Yeah I'm in Boston, why is he still playing (crosses fingers)

i lived in Berkeley while in the bay area. tenderloin was not a place i hung out too much.
then of course, i move back here and one of my neighbors in portland was from the tenderloin.
one of the most disturbed people i've met in a long time. his pit bull was nice though. lol

rad and sad!

too bad about Rob Hall. it will be good to hear everyone else though. ben's sets are always amazing.

Based on what Rob said, he's not playing the US till later this year. But, who noze!

Yeah, it's rad but sad!

Thanks jdg!
