--> The hardcore among us remember the ambiguous post-modern disastrato.
People loved him. People threatened to kill him.
His avatar manipulation was masterful. His eye for absurdity and surrealism refined.

And now we have PAWEL. IMO, PAWEL is a bastardization of the disastrato mentality.

Is there any artistic merit to pawelian behavior?

LOL

dis was vito acconci
pawl is carrot top

I put $20 on Dis... oh damn, I thought you had arranged a deathmatch.

i vote for dis too - he had the occasion helpful or insightful thing to say once in a while (every other blue moon or so). much higher signal to noise ratio.

LOL, did not know about vito. Thanks wikipedia!

wikipee said: "One noted installation/performance piece from this period is Seedbed (January 1972). In Seedbed Acconci lay hidden underneath a gallery-wide ramp installed at the Sonnabend Gallery, masturbating while vocalizing into a loudspeaker his fantasies about the visitors walking above him on the ramp. One motivation behind Seedbed was to involve the public in the work's production by creating a situation of reciprocal interchange between artist and viewer."

LO-fing-L at the Vito Acconci/Carrot Top comparison.

Vito Acconci was the commencement speaker at my school the year before I graduated. Interesting enough dude is a huge AFX and Vladislav Delay fan... it's not every day you hear AFX mentioned in a commencement speech, it was awesome...

carrot top! hahahaha

although, pawl is probably more like ned "carlos" mencia.

i think i'll turn off greasemonkey for a while - this could get interesting

just dial down the middle, pawel

it's not nice to hurt people's feelings.
ya, but it has to go both ways, no?

having not heard of /met Distro, i wonder at what Pawels remarks on the subject will be :-D

I like Pawel... he's entertaining in a trolling sorta abstract way. Any prime Disastrato blogs worth checking out? Curiosity has gotten the best of me.

just saying 'listen to prugelknaben' makes me laugh...

i don't mind pawel though, he seems to be getting along a bit better these days
