so i got an update email from IODA today that some of you may find interesting. here's the important part:

"IODA's agreement with Snocap, dating back to 2005, was structured around their initial business plan at launch, which involved fingerprinting tracks for P2P seeding. Snocap has now added a new and very exciting component to their business model. Their Snocap-branded store can now be embedded into Myspace pages, allowing for direct sales to Myspace's many millions of users."

i'm curious to see how this plays out and how the details come together and where the downloads will actually come from. i know i have to compress the shit out a lot of songs just to get them to fit in the specs of what the myspace player requires. i guess this will be a separate player that sources higher quality downloads? maybe snocap servers will hold all the songs sourced from IODA? | |

IODA has a deal w/snocap. so if you sign up w/IODA you don't need a credit card. IODA has deals w/itunes, napster and pretty much every other download service in the interwebs.
