--> Over the past year of doing my podcast I've ended up making ALOT of songs... an average of atleast 1 new song per episode.... Which has given me quite a library of music... a couple of months ago someone on here mentioned how it was possible to use a site like Tunecore to get it onto iTunes etc. and I've been inspired ever since.

So I took a some time, polished some of my tracks, used their service and now its online....

May I present: ..everybody has a story...

It's an electro/synthpop album. It's different, but I think different in a good way.... The crazy part that I'm still getting over is just how out there it is. I never imagined a day when it would be so easy to create and publish something like this, but now there's no other way I would want to do it......

So I wanted to share my excitement.. and suggest that anyone else who has been sitting on music and wanting to get it out there..... for all the stress and struggle it's been to get to this point.... it's so worth it when you see that it's *REALLY* out there.

good luck with that! thanks for the tip on that site tunecore. i just might try that myself seeing as how warp and ninjatune never wrote me back, hehe.

hehe... it takes more then releasing stuff to iTunes to make millions... but I do like the idea that if other ppl find value in the music that they can compensate for it. Which is what I like about this whole idea.... it's another option of releasing & sharing music.

EDIT: and definitely if you're sending stuff to labels.... it's an option you should definitely entertain.

I've been ranting on my podcast that most labels today don't rrreeeaalllyy offer alot to an artist. There are some legal and publishing things they can do... but after hunting around on the net. The basics concept of artist representation and music distribution can easily be covered between Last.FM and Tunecore.

Ever since I discovered those two sites I've been ape crazy about how amazing the music landscape is going to be for the next year or two. I won't say that record labels are dead.. .but record labels as they are today are WAY less valuable then they were before the whole web 2.0 revolution.

congrats, vveerrgg

gots me thinking, maybe i should do something like this with my dead album

I was reading your post and was going to suggest just that... not sure of the legal implications of your label contract... but if they've backed out of the deal its the least you can do. Even getting it on Last.FM is better then having nothing...... atleast it can be streamed on their pandora like radio stations.

congrate vergel your still behind me by this many link
but hey number 2 for you its a start!!! keep on plugging away!!!!

good on you verrrgg... i like the stuff from the freebie... and i'm sure this of similar quality...

hang on... i've never had an i-tunes release... oh i feel so inadequate... dear abbie...
