Just read the following message from Samarah & Phil > posted on their website >>>
"Belladonna Records is indefinitley on hiatus. This decision was made out of respect to the fact that right now we can't provide the love and full attention to the label right now that it needs and are not okay with doing things half-ass.
We are confident that only good will come from this and perhaps something even more wonderful ;)
Thank you dearly to all of the artists we have worked with, our listeners, press, reviewers, Madison, WI and Des Moines, IA.
Your encouragment, feedback and kind words were always taken to heart and we will be in touch."
I really liked their style and enthusiam and it is sad to see them go > but I hope they are OK

i'm a bit on the fence about this.
as someone on their netlabel roster (with miniature airlines, et al), there has been no communication from them regarding any changes/hiatus/etc. months ago phil and sarah were talking with me about organizing a remix comp based on my dance score music - suddenly their communication halted and i too had to find out about this 'hiatus' by seeing their website homepage.
feels a bit off to me. total bummer.

i'm on their roster too and was surprised when if first read about it on myspace, especially since i had been in touch with them about a mixit style comp, but at the same time i realize that life can change and pressure can build quickly. i just hope everything is ok, cause S is rad. Maybe that deal with Zod made her too busy.

Yeah, it's too bad that mixit comp wasn't released yet... I was looking forward to it.
I was under the impression that all the tracks had been submitted by us... and they were going to be posted as soon as the new site was up. Oh well, I'm sure it will be released if belladonna is brought back from the dead.

just saw this. it's really inspiring to hear that people might actually notice we're not around! i did communicate with everyone on the remix project and apologize to everyone else as it was a bit split up on who was in touch with who (ie chimp logic...sry). i think we were really on to something..and i always bragged about our awesome roster ;)
i will always have that creative fire in me and i can't hold it down for too long so be on the look out..i meant it when i think something will come of this all...a time of reflection was needed.
