here are a few things i'm planning on buying this year, cash willing.
> an analogue synth, with VCOs and a nce warm filter, MIDI and lots of CCs
> a phono tube preamp with RIAA equalization.
> a reel-to-reel deck for re-recording into my sound card
> a good mic, with a shockmount, for field-recording
> a book on speaker design, with some DIY tips
if anybody has any tips/advice/caveats about any of the above products, i'd really like to hear 'em
also - i still want your tapes

All fantastic choices in my opinion mr. skab... I myself consider all of them " important" gear. Except the book... I'd get that off the internet.

analogue synth - vcos, warm filters and midi ccs a-plenty? sounds like an evolver would be right up your alley. or better yet, a poly-evolver! kinda pricey though...
