A couple days ago I was contacted by an old client who was wondering if they could have the promotional video we did for them recut. I said "sure" and asked "why?" The answer was a bit vague, but today I spoke with someone else involved who was more willing to give me the scoop:
In the promotional video there are some comments from a woman who is fairly well known in her particular region regarding the subject being promoted. Fast forward about 4 years to last week and we find her in a un-registered van on a vacant lot with a 16 year old kid without his pants on. With a bunch of weed and some "brass knuckles".
Tonight I'm learning that the whole thing is dying out quickly and a re-edit probably won't be needed, which is fine by me. But I would like to give a shoutout to all the fine teachers that I wish had taken me to an un-registered van in a vacant lot. Well, there was really only one. Hey Danette!

I think this has always gone on, but it was mostly male teachers maybe? The new trend seems to be the female teachers though. My high school history teacher was definetly a predator. My girlfriend's GIS professor in college tried to hook up with her (and she tried to hook up with a different, less creepy, more Jack Tripper professor). So it all works out.

+1 to Ms. X and Mrs. Y and Miss Z. Oh, and ladies, it's still not too late! Also I've learned a thing or two since the 11th grade. Sadly, it's just a thing or two...
It hit me a while ago that the new, hip teachers in my school would just have been in their mid-twenties at most. I don't think the situations has changed much. With the general infantilization of our western socities since the 60s, I can like totally see the described situation happening more and more often. After all it's just a few years from Girls Gone Wild to Teachers Gone Wild. Prolly just wishful thinkin...

its a good thing nothing never happened to me in schools, cuz sometimes later in life you total a car and the husband is the only passerby for the whole night. then you look back and you're glad nothing came..... fucking puns are unavoidable. bleh.
