really bb01? I know diane arbus' work quite well but i had it in my head that this was by someone else. do you know what it was from? i remember it (from my A Level photography days) as being from a book some dude did in the deep south. by the way, arbus' (shining) twins have grown up! link

aha! my memory was off in lots of ways but it was some dude it seems. Roger Ballen - link - and it was south africa and the guns were in other shots...lol. 4 out of 10...ok then, 3!

do you like arbus? are you photographer at all?

i like arbus and i wish she'd taken photos photographs for longer than about 18 years. i like the freak side of photography (right down to the depths of joel peter witkin) but i really just love portraiture of most styles - except high fashion (generally).
