if i had all my debt paid off, and about a four month cushion, i'd probably buy a doepfer g6 case and a couple modules. i actually have a couple used doepfer modules i bought that are without a case, so it wouldn't be so retarded of a purchase. or, at least, the retardation already happened, and i'm just jogging to the finish line with that extra chromosome.
or maybe a blacet. either way i need a nice rack solution.

i'd take my girlfriend to a nice dinner. make sure she had a nice wine and was happy .
then i'd tell her to get a damn job and that this was the last time i was taking her to dinner and if she really wanted to pitch in she would mow the lawn and clean the gutters now and then.. maybe even make her trim sone trees!
seriously.. if i had $810 and already had a computer and a sound card etc...
FUCK THE FUCKING MICRON!!!!!!!! honeslty.. i think that synth is fucking weak. your nova will sound fatter than that thing any day. not that the micron is shit but if you have a nova and a computer you don't need a micron.. save your cash. buy a good preamp or some URS plug ins... or upgrade your CPU so you can run better plugs.. believe me.. i'm a hardware gearslut.. my first impression of the micron/ion was "is there a bandbass filter on every patch? is this the korg M1 patch w/o reverb?"
get into what you already have. save your cash for a vacation or something. go to the next STFU in helsink or london... or cougar camp in portland this summer (details soon).

haha really? I was under the impression the micron was a lot better than the nova in terms of sound
I haven't had a chance to play with one but listening to lots of demos it sounds nice.. I shall see what happens when I play one in person.
Id much prefer the nova in terms of control anyday over 4 knobs and a couple sliders

bbwax i already have 2 guitars. . and i cant remember how to play them well enough to justify buying a third (just pulled them out the other day .. had to replace a few strings & such theyve been in my cupboard for 4 years)
So I ended up buying a midi keyboard & a kaoss pad 3. . . more toy stuff than anything serious, but playing with the KP3 in the store was so much fun I just had to have one... I'd like to see what I can come up with using nothing but the kp3 to work with samples.
The midi keyboard is an edirol pcr-m50.. very nice when I compare it to my behringer UMX which is now being used as a shelf (and its not even that good at that)
