--> JUNO 6 for £142 on ebay!! Oh my god, I can't believe I won the auction at that price. The guy has 100% feedback after 400 transactions and has described as in good working order with a few cosmetic blemishes. I'm stoked! I've only owned monosynths up until now and having played piano since I was nine I'm now gonna be able to play with both hands and play chords! Some of you may remember I was looking for a poly800 a while ago but I decided that the Juno was better suited to my lack of programming patience. Sorry for the yet another gear blog, I'll release some music soon I promise.

Cool! Congratz on the Juno. I love those. I also have a poly 800. i really enjoy the sounds of all those synths.
i'm glad you got the Juno

Cool!

I had a juno106 for awhile and absolutely loved it. Tweak away, cause you can't save that shite! (in any event I rarely saved or used patches on the 106)

ya my patch memory dont work on my 106, no big deal

Pity the 6 has no DCB port. It seems ridiculous that Kenton only has a DCB add-on kit, but no MIDI retrofit. Oh well, the pads are just as lovely played by hand. Enjoy it!

The arp TRIG IN is all you need. Great synth.. best basic poly IMO. Patch memory is a bonus .. but since it's simple left to right 1 OSC Roland .. it's fine without it. ( you can always pick up a Juno 60 later...it's nice to have a couple of these things around actually)

there is a hidden "mono" mode... when it is shut off.. make sure the ARP is set to the UP position.. hold Key Transpose .. and then turn the synth on. Once you turn the ARP switch away from UP .. you will be back to normal. Watch out when you are in mono mode .. it can really really crank ..

Mono mode is essential! It was sick on the 106. I'm sure it'll be just as nice (or nicer) on the 6.

this blog makes me that my 106 has the voice chip illness and doesnt work

acutally .. it's not as nice as the Juno 106's mono mode because it's got no portamento. It is beefier though ,, just not as diverse.

For some reason I really don't liket the 106 anymore. They sound totally different to me.. and everything that the 106 does better than the 6/60,,.. I think the JX8P does even better.

I'm not bothered about the patch memory. It's a handy function but not one I ever miss having spent a year just twiddling on monosynths. That's why I went for the Juno 6 instead of the 60.
Soon as she shows up I'll whip up a track for yall.

my juno died a few months ago. they wanted $240 to repair it, so i gave it to the trash man

Nice score Tooth.. I loves my 60.

Skab: Nooooo! Dont trash dead synths, people want 'em for spare parts.

yeahhhhhh, the Juno 6 is cool :P I've had one for years & years now and I LOVE IT, even though it barely gets used ATM. I have done so much on it over the years, half the sliders (pegs) are missing but it still sounds awesome. the arpregaitor is brilliant. I could go on for ever, but basically it's a really underated synth. Maybe I'll post an old track I did on it that I've just uncovered from the archives

dern, skab! i wish you would've given it to me. or somebody on em411.

unless the trashman is your friend and makes electronic music.
