how are the momome's buttons for drumming compared to the mpd ish pads? (are they velocity and aftertouch sinsitive?)

they arent velocity sensitive but with flexibility on the software side you can workaround some stuff, so what i did was kinda like this, lets say you have a row that sends these midi notes at a fixed velocity (high):
32 33 34 35 etc
on the next row down same notes at a lower velocity (medium):
32 33 34 35 etc
then another row of the same notes at an even lower velocity (soft):
32 33 34 35 etc
if that makes sense.
once we are done moving studios and everything is set back up i'll make a few videos showing the TF and monome drumming a little better. i didnt really have any control over how my friend shot the stuff at our show, i wish it showed the monome better too.
