my label beatismurder records is extremely proud to announce its second release:
"Untitled David Horvitz Picture Disc" by Jamie Stewart (Xiu Xiu).
i don't k now how many of you are familiar with Xiu Xiu's music, but those of you who are will definitely appreciate this gem.
this EP is an 7" vinyl picture disc with artwork by David Horvitz ( link ).
it contains 3 tracks that were recorded to cassette by Jamie Stewart in 1994 in his parents' bedroom.
it's limited to 500 copies.
here's the official info:
beatismurder records said: "This is David Horvitz Picture-Disc #2 in his ongoing series.
The songs are from a 12 year old cassette tape of recordings by Xiu Xiu's Jamie Stewart, that were recently re-discovered by Stewart.
Imagine a more reduced Knife-Play-era Xiu Xiu and you already get an idea about what the 3 tracks on this EP (33rpm) sound like. "
the official release date is somewhere in late april (whenever the distributors decide to ship it).

though i'm not that fond of xiu xiu. he is really a great artist and i'm quite sure this will be sold out. it just nbeeds the right promotion

uh, thanks. i'll fix the link now.
the pressing was about EUR1600,-
that was not the cheapest offer, but it was a company that i totally trust.
(the cheapest was around 1300,- btw)
