--> yes! after LOTS of struggle to find what i want, have it shipped here (see previous blog) and working to be able to afford all this, here is my studio!

- ensoniq asr10 (max memory, 8 outs, no scsi)
- e-mu e5000 ultra (max memory, 20 gb hd, iomega zip 250, 4 outs)
- yamaha rm1x
- tascam fw1082
- samson resolv80a
- dell latitude 100L
- korg microkontrol
- akg k271 studio + k81 dj
- 2 x sl1200 + tascam xs-3, lots of records

i'm still missing a scsi cable (evidently there are no scsi devices or zip drives sold in greece) but i think i'll be able to find those easily

ps: many thanks to scan and tomas haas for helping me out

that's crazy there's no scsi in Greece.

what do the samson piece and akg k271 studio + k81 dj do?

samson are 8" studio monitors, akg k271 + k81 dj are headphones

what are you sequencing with the rm1x?

asr10 and e5000. i've plugged the microkontrol into rm1x, rm1x to asr10 and midi thru to e5000.
i think this way the gear works well for me, any suggestions for better connections?

The connection sounds fine but you could probably get rid of the asr 10 because the e5000+rm1x make it redundant right?

i could but i won't (at least not yet) for 3 reasons:
1. it has 8 outs, e5000 has 4. when it comes to drum sounds, i like to have a channel for kicks, one for snares and one for the rest, so i'll probably use the asr10 for drums, glitch & big phat bass (16mb ram is enough for this use) and save the e-mu channels for other instruments.
2. it sounds great
3. i love it a lot
