Don't take this personally, Mr. PC, but lately you really haven't been pulling your weight. Does it really take you 15 minutes to get your act together before you can actually do something after you've been turned on? Staring at your screen, I've read the names of the people who wrote Photoshop from start to finish so many times I think I could recite them all in my sleep. Let's face it, we both know it's just a matter of time before your hard-disk up & quits on us for good. And, I don't know if you've looked in that mirror by the door lately, but dear god you take up a lot of space.
So I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. I'm going to harvest all the really good bits from your hard-drive & let you go peacefully. Maybe we could donate you to our daughter's school. You'll be happy there surrounded by smiling children all day. And don't worry, in your place, a smart new laptop will arrive from the folks at Dell, with one of those fancy new Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2250 (1.73GHz/533MHz FSB) processors, 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz & a 100GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive. So don't worry about us. Your loss will indeed be felt by all of us, but we'll get by, one day at a time, knowing that you're going to a better place.

quality blog. too bad ur getting a dell haha, but them specs sound super hot. ya, pcs suck, but you'll stil have to watch the fotoshop credits, and of course you'll have new better software. that runs slower cause it utilizes more of ur resources. probably poorly too cause you'll be running vista. but it'll all be worth it. the best part of ur laptop is that u dont go to it, it stays with u. i go to the coffee shop and every1 and their mother has one. it's the new preferred instrument of creative people, and people who enjoy computers. plus they make great live instruments, portable, quick, hibernate, etc.
on the other hand, i sometimes long for a dedicated pc to have running 24/7. expandable. always in its place. i'd like to have both. u can use urs for storage, backup, experimentation, and so forth.

that's the best part. i'm not getting a vista machine, i'm getting xp pro - saved myself about $600 in the process too. guess they have surplus XP to get rid of. ran the numbers for the same system with different O/S and the savings were unbelievable, especially when you consider you're not being a vista guinea pig.
i actually didn't wanna buy a dell. i wanted to go out & have a local dealer build a dream machine for me, but taking care of the kids & all my freelance clients is more than a full-time job for me. I wake up before everyone else, get some work done, get the gang off to work/school, look after the little guy & try to get more work done, pick up my daughter form school, do more work while she plays with her brother, try to get dinner on the table, eat, do more work before bed (i'm usually last in bed too). i seriously didn't have the time for anything else. i barely have time to blog about it. which reminds me, i have work to do.
seriously hoping this new machine allows me to be more productive. i waste far too much time waiting for this old box to think about shit, and i've gotta find some time to work on some tunes before i go mental.

it was next to impossible to find the 'build an XP system' option on Dell, but I guess that's why we saved a boatload. now's the time to buy xp i guess. it's fairly reliable (most reliable windoze i've ever used) and now, thx to microsoft's silliness, it's dirt cheap. yeehaw!
