--> i always find these post-your-studio pics to be masturbatory, but I am going to join the circle-jerk with gusto and post some pics.

I recently had a basement room all to myself, but a little flooding made that untenable. Luckily, we just remodelled our upstairs (it had been a 70's-wood-panneling/sagging-fiberboard-extravaganza!) and I've moved up!

I had to consolidate my gear, which has actually been nice. I have to share the space with my cat Chester, as you can see. He's sitting atop my mixer, which I covered in 1" of foam to prevent him from muting/soling all the channels on my mixer every time he moves his 18.5 Lbs of cat-bulk. he also plays synth and bites the guitar strings.

Also, moving from a carpeted/cinderblock bunker to an open space with wood flooring has made me need to re-learn what my speakers sound like (BRIGHT). I even just built some of those acoustic panels that bleen/jdg/cbit were ranting about (same color as the wall).

Maybe I need a plant?

nice studio!!!! your cat is taking all the glory though.

He was trying to play cello last time I was there.

Or maybe he thought my strings were catgut and he was trying liberate them.

nice cat. I like those blue dust bags you have on everything, fine idea.
what is your doctorate in again? and why is your username not mlbot, PhD.

Also, lol @ string synth

lol @ string synth™

I like your granny plastic. You should wrap the chair and the dresser too just to complete the effect. :P

Yes on the plant!

My cats are always all over my shit too. Lil' fuckers!

Studio looks great man! Only thing I'd suggest is maybe getting a rug on the floor to damped the natural reverb from the wood floor.

You'll really get some goos sounds coming out of that room! Good luck ...

wow! don't see too many of those soundcraft monitors. nice little setup!
Also, your monkey ratio is high and will ensure adequate monkeyshines in the future.

Dude, you are the bazarro to jdg! mlbazaroo? That cat is the bazarro Lucy!

remember, you can be terminated at any time.

Yeah, Granny Plastic™ help keep pet-hair out of my gear.
Even though my poor old arthritic doggie can't make it upstairs, her hair is like 6" long and coats the house in a fine layer of tumbleweed-like hairballs.
And I'm a bit OCD.

Rug-good idea! But it took me so long to lay that flooring!

do you ever use that darkstar?

Yes, but not as often as I used to.

The Dx200 is in total neglect.

is the plastic sheeting a protective measure for the circle jerk? ironically, it makes your gear look less hawt.
