I've usually been labeled as a noise musician but I've had these urges for quite a while. The urge to dance and make others do just the same. I don't have it right though so it's a weird dance. Last time someone told me that all of a sudden I dropped a house beat. That was a neat feel. I think it's because I've been using Ableton live 5 lately and that just warrants a hot beat simply because it's just so easy. | |

i love to dance! don't do it so often now coz all my friends are getting old... LOL
last time i danced was at the Ed Banger showcase in SF... me and my sister jumped on stage with a bunch of other people, LOL... i felt like a hoochie. that was fun fun fun. last time i jumped on stage was maybe 14 years ago at a free Trash Can Sinatra outdoor concert.
i think my main motivation for making electronic anything is to make stuff that people can dance too...

Wow, I'm huge into dancing, it's what got me into music. I've been complimented many upon many times on my skills as a dancer. I do a lot of popping and locking...always in sync with the music. My dream is to integrate my music and dance so that I'll be able to perform not just aurally, but visually as well. I'd like to devise some type of led suit to wear so that people can see my body more easily. But yeah, it's always been a thought in my mind to do. I'd really enjoy doing it, but my music can sometimes be pretty erratic and not four to the floor time signature.
But yes, dancing is awesome...boogaloo pop 'n' lock do it up!

I danced a little the other night in the house. That's how I dance now, in the house. We put on an older kick-ass house mix and did our thing.

i love to dance as well. not doing it often enough when not drunk/intoxicated, but I usually listen to the DJ's craftsmanship (or lack thereof) and other stuff when I'm the designated driver, I never last more than 3 or 4 tunes in a row dancing that way, something purely technical grips my attention and I'm out of the flow - doesn't happen with really good DJs/music though.
i really love to make other people dance with my music, that's the real kicker. when you're playing live PA type sound and people dance it's definitely more satisfying than getting a dancefloor going as DJ, but great mixes can be very very rewarding for a DJ as well.
