back around 97-98 when i lived in DC i released a CD-R that contained a song called "DC Rats". it's two parts, unaltered recordings from a DC subway. the rest of the album has similar experiments in sampling, i should release it online someplace. back before i was ever doing 'electronica' or 'beats' even. ;)
so now i've come to discover that phonography is the term for this, from an interesting talk on soundtransit.nl - link - from last year.
so it inspired me to post five miniature phonographic accounts (barely over 12 minutes) of life around me.
