--> ahh the sky is blue and hollow, the air fresh and filled with summer scents of flowers, my toes are itchy, time for some changes.

parachute got de-installed. i have walls again!

i have two pieces of outboard equipment: the evolution x-session controller with fader and the evolution mk425c 2 octave midi keyboard. after probably 2 years i finally managed to assign specific controller numbers to the various knobs and buttons. knowing what is going on with assignments and what parameters are located where feels good, like i have stuff under control finally. heh

the x-session has 16 jolly knobs and 10 buttons. the knobs are assigned to midi cc's 31-46, fader is 10, buttons are from 101-110.
in live, fader is assigned to fader (who would have thought of that), knobs are master volume, pan, bpm, preview volume. buttons are play, stop, record, next/prev scene, scene play, stop all clips and add/remove/play in arragement view. very helpful.

the mk425c has 8 knobs and 10 buttons. knobs are midi ccs from 70-77 (i felt happy as i noticed that the functions of the phoscyon 303 emulation are 70 etc aswell, like filter cutoff and resonance). buttons are from 51 to 60 and assignes to follow, back to arrgement, metronome, loop on/off, punch in/out (although i need to know what ounch in/out means even). pitch bent is 144 what it should be, right? i built a little red button on my own that goes inside the "sustain jack" and is mapped to overdub. pretty helpful as well.

by now i am able to overlook what is mapped to what controlling parameters and not get lost deciphering what was what and went where.

i started mountainbiking on a regular basis on weekends after i discovered how beautiful the landscape is over there in switzerland. i also attached some blurry but nonetheless neat panorama pics of my room and the idyllic lake my mobile phone is able to make

i wish you all a great, great summer

alex
