--> The kind folks from Monkeyclaus studio/label/content came down from the mountains to record a live performance of mine last May 26th. Then they interviewed me. Just this past weekend, they put it online: link

A few words about it all:

It was a fun night. The venue, Dust, is a warehouse space with word-of-mouth only clientele. I love playing there, it's got a great feel which I find to be very rare in warehouse/gallery spaces. A Drop In Silence came up from NC to play. I've played with them several times now, they're great guys and make excellent music. Doormouse/Anonymous was there that night as well, a stop that I had arranged for them on their tour. So the little avante-electro community here was all a'buzz with energy.

I was happy with the set overall. The first two pieces you may have heard me do some version of before, but the rest of the set is new material that I have only been playing with in a live setting for the last 4 months or so. As usual, a lot is left to chance, and more so than ever the give and take / listen and prod relationship is in full effect.

As for the interview - man, can any of you hold a coherent conversation after a set? I can't. My brain is just fried after that and getting my thoughts out into coherent sentences is just too much. So the interview sounds like someone asking good questions and getting bad answers. Heh, sorry! A drunk girl does interrupt the interview to sing. Man, was she at the show?

The set is one large file, so I didn't want to add it to the "releases" section. Here's the breakdown, if you feel like you need one:

0:00 DC3ish
3:25 Elephant
8:55 Tenta Se
13:58 They're All Real Shiny
18:38 WindingRabbit
25:30 Sweet Bird of Filth

Okay, that's all for now.

Dude you look like a serial killer.

The flash player on the site can't seem to stop buffering. Have to let it load for a while.

Really lovely interview!
