EDIT: for those trying and failing, try it in all caps or just a capital "R". I am really temp banned for typing the "R" word and loving it. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow!

In an effort to stop all the bs on the "censorship" thread I have temp banned myself by typing the offensive word. This is not in response to anyone in particular but the thread was getting out of control.
So I offer a suggestion. If you are getting heated, and life is unfair and omf the end of the world is happening, or you just want to see what all the fuss is about, then type four simple letters. Arr. Ayy, Pee. Eee. Your comment won't show up but you'll be temp banned for a simple day.
I did it and it was worth it. Plus I already feel more productive. See ya in 24 hours!

now, i'm not saying it's unfair. as had been noted in the other thread, there are rules that we must abide by if we want to use this site. period. so no, i certainly don't think it's unfair. i think it's fucking retarded.

ya i'm still here. and words are just words. actions of course speak louder than words. and for the record: i believe cursing someone is wrong. however, i don't believe using strong language to express one's feelings is wrong.
i used to say, "so and so is a fucking retard" a lot. i don't do this as much anymore, as i'm consciously trying to avoid it (based on my belief that it's wrong to curse another being). in my course to separate myself from cursing others, it's allowed me to see how many other people do curse others. what does it say about yourself when you call someone stupid?
isn't it more powerful, more responsible, to simply express how u feel? i'm not surprised how many people would rather say: "so and so is so stupid, they don't know anything, they should be dragged out into the street and shot" versus saying simply, "so and so said this or that, and it really upset me because..."
now, the wording is not important. and you may think i'm giving you flowers and acting like a sissy. but i am firm in my belief that expressing ones feelings is far more powerful than simply dumping ur frustrations onto another.
i could go on and on, and probably say all of this more effectively, but i don't want to right now and i hope some get my meaning nonetheless.

which makes me wonder about this: "i think it's fucking retarded." what about when i curse something that someone _does_? is that not the same as cursing someone directly? it very well may be. i guess i have only to consider my feelings on the matter, and decide for myself like anything else.
