--> Im thinking of buying an apple because theres a lot of stuff that i really want to try out (some related to music like "
Argeďphontes Lyre ") and others. I dont know nothing about mac, processors speeds and other stuff that i can compare to pc in order to see whats the best choice.I own a laptop pentium M 1.6 and because im quite happy with it i want to know whats the equal or similar in mac (processor speed).
I dont want to spend too much money either.

Do you NEED to switch? I bet you could get away with an older Mac to run things like Argiphontes Lyre, SOundhack, and some of the twerk programs.

But if you need a new, up-to-date computer AS WELL,....

first though was about transgender.
but that mac stuff ruined everything.

i'd go for a cheaper used mac. aggreiphontes lyre and soundhack don't need that amazing processors.
a.g. isn't even universal binary, so i won't run that great on an intel mac.

and as it is non-realtime. you'd just have to wait a little longer on a slower mac.
that's all.

and remember that if you switch, you'll end up being like the one who is a wanker [jeremy] on 'Peep Show': Video

well.. i think adding a mac to your set up could be cool. 2 laptops.. best of both worlds. a new macbook will be plenty fast $1099 + $249 for apple care comes to $1348

i got an 800mhz g3 ibook from ebay (~300€) and am very happy with it! that lyre thing is pretty strange, but works

i blogged about it link

actually to a PC user the speed of an apple can be confusing and hard to understand. see because of their original superior hardware they can't take the same type of benchmark tests. you wouldn't need much of a new apple to have a better laptop than the present PCS ou there. a used ibook g4 would do the trick (with overkill) and they run about $800 bucks.

i wouldn't buy a G4. not tha tplenty of people aren't doing good things w/them.. i just think you'll ge tsooooo much more mileage out of a macbook w/an intel core 2duo for not THAT much more cash. plus you ge ta new computer w/warranty etc...
