--> transistor, electronic music + art festival, born from the ashes of a blown circuit

Wesley Davis, aka bios+a+ic, the original creator/founder of "Circuit Festival of electronic art + music", scheduled for June 1, 15, and 16, 2007, Denver, Co was shocked and surprised when partner promoters from Interzone (Marc Weinberg aka Nahtass, circuitfestival.com) and the Oriental Theater (including Tennyson Gallery), "cancelled Circuit Festival" with less than two months before the events. In the interest of the hard work already done and for the 25 sound acts already booked, bios+a+ic and his label, symbolic insight, immediately reorganized and relaunched as "transistor, electronic music + art festival", including a cd release with the same name.
The electronic festival was founded to provide an outlet for community, to connect peolple, and to showcase all the talented sounds artists in Colorado and beyond. It seems not all organizers had this same intent or perspective as phrases like, "who cares what 25+ nobody acts think about me", and " this festival is not financially viable at this time", are used to justify their last minutes changes in the interests of other non-community oriented goals. The co-opted and deceitful, circuitfestival.com now advertises a competitive event on the very same night, with the very same headliner, which also includes the promoters pet project opening, an interesting development indeed!

Support independent music by attending, transistor, on June 15 + 16th in Denver, Co.
