Work has slowed which has led me to believe that today might be my balancing day.
I've always had this weird yin-yang belief, almost like a superstition. I'm not affiliated with any Eastern Schools of Thought or take part in their religious beliefs, although people who know me well will swear that I am transethnic. But hear me out on this:
How many birthday parties have you been to as a kid that have been the most amazing day full of laughter, joy & wicked good cake? How many of those same birthday parties have also born broken legs, adverse reactions to cake frosting, trampoline accidents, etc.?
I like to think that we are kept balanced. For instance, if you're having a not-so-amazing day of work today, keep it in mind and see what happens that night. I had a SHITE day at work yesterday, and to balance it out, I got a call from a woman who wants to feature me on her new website. Only until I hang up the phone call/finish the song/go to bed/etc. do I realize what has just happened. It's strange and it happens more often than I realize at the moment.
Some days I'm waiting for the crap to happen just so I can get to the good stuff, which is usually music-making goodness.
