--> seems like it takes forever to get any type of project completed these days, but i've finally got my mp3's and illustrations ready for sale on my website.

some of you have inquired about purchasing artwork in the past, so...

the prints are pretty nice. i'm using a company called imagekind. i ordered 3 prints a month or so ago to check out the quality and i was very impressed. nice paper, shipped very securely, outstanding color. i framed them myself but imagekind has some pretty nice framing options if you're not up for DIY framing.

the mp3's, for now, are just a zip file download after payment with paypal. they are 320 kbps. 11 song album for $5.

so, that's all for now. got a lot more projects in the works. new illustration series to do. will be very different from the previous ones. i'm moving toward a more ambient style of music for sure. i'm currently working on a gear setup. mostly guitar with some samples thrown in. i want to base it around a live show from the start. i also want to design the live visuals. should be a piece of cake. ha.

---

side note: i am going to be on itunes and some other services eventually through tunecore, but it's been delayed until i don't know when. not happy. tunecore support is very unresponsive. no word still, 12 days since the "release date", and initial support response email 11 days ago. i am going to hang in there and give them the benefit of the doubt, but i'm not happy. has anyone else had problems with them? it'd be nice to be able to rely on some sort of music business company. maybe i should've gone with cdbaby?

update: i've heard back from tunecore support and my situation is being looked into. maybe there is hope!

Art vs Music, who will win??

stay tuned and find out, next on em411.

excellent mang. Congrats on the project completion. Illustrations look beautiful, yet to hear the music. still rockin the live4 i purchased from you. i like to ramble. hooray!

love your art brent!

realy dig the site design, so simple yet nice, you can get so boged down in making a site, colour choices ect.. when realy it just needs to serve the content thats the star. drunk elephants rocks !

I totally love your art too. It's really elegant and imaginative. It's very cool to see all of your work collected on one site...

mlbot - hehe, i think music will win. not that my music is rad or anything, it's just more fun to make i think. illustration takes a lot out of me. i'm burnt!

tbeals79 - thanks! guess what? i bought live again. version 6. i know, i'm an idiot. i'll probably buy reason again too sooner or later.

rrine - thanks! hey i probably listened to some of your tunes while making it.

collapsicon - that's my site design philosophy in a nutshell. thanks!

fredo - thanks! i thought about splitting stuff up into different sites, you know? but then i remembered i am poor and hosting costs real money. doh! so it all gets lumped together. i think for some future music projects i will get a separate site though. first i have to come up with a semi-cool name.

i'll tell ya what's some real f'ing work... framing. not just buy a frame from target, but actually doing all the measurements, cutting the mats, cutting the foamboard, buying the glass, cleaning the glass, buying the frame sides and hardware, and putting it all together. no shit, it took me about 7 hours to frame 3 prints. no wonder people pay $$$ for framing. it's tricky!

I used to make my own frames from chipboard coated with different materials... you wanna talk pain in the ass... it would take me 3 days to frame one painting. Also, it's a real art to frame a painting or print correctly. Some folks just have a talent to choose the mat color and frame.... I do not, nor do I find most folks who work at frame shops!

wow, 3 days! okay, now i don't feel so sorry for myself. yeah, trust me, i have a new respect for good frame people.
